• Preferences: Your selected trading style (Intraday, Swing, Long Term) and daily usage count for freemium feature management.

We do not collect financial information, Demat account details, PAN numbers, or any sensitive personal data.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the YouStockAI analytics platform.
• To personalise your dashboard experience based on your selected investor profile.
• To enforce our freemium limits (10 free deep analyses per day) and prevent misuse.
• To communicate service updates, policy changes, or security notices.
• To analyse aggregate, anonymised usage patterns to improve feature quality.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making that has legal or financial effects on you.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

YouStockAI does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: Hosting infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• AI Processing: Stock story generation uses the Anthropic Claude API. Queries are anonymised and do not contain your personal details.
• Market Data: Stock data is fetched from publicly available sources (NSE/yfinance). No personal data is transmitted.
• Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by Indian law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage for:

• Session authentication tokens (JWT) to keep you logged in securely.
• Storing your investor profile preference and onboarding completion status.
• Remembering your daily usage count for the freemium gate.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You may clear your browser cookies at any time, which will sign you out of the platform.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Passwords are stored using bcrypt hashing — never in plain text.
• Authentication is managed via JWT tokens with expiry.
• All API communication is encrypted via HTTPS in production.
• Database access is restricted to application processes only.
